Latest News From James Morgan 2012
Huge start to 2012 with many interesting and sometimes very complex issues thrown up by our clients; the Australian Tennis Open in Melbourne made for a very relaxed start to the year although the heat in Melbourne was sometimes beyond working! The seats at the tennis where the photographers sit were sometimes so hot we couldnt sit on them or had to put a towel down! Continuing work for Carnival Australia has included the biggest Australian flag ever seen on Sydney Harbour for Australia Day and the drama of the Queen Mary 2 floating into Sydney Harbour as it makes its way around Australia. An earlier shoot in Fremantle with the Commodore of the QM2 was amazing with the request by myself to photograph him on the top of the ship by the massive funnel. The answer was yes and the resulting images were used around the world by our client Cunard.
Back in Sydney we have been working with PR agency, One Green Bean on the launch of the Lego model of the Sydney Opera House which posed a huge problem in that the model was so small and the Opera House is so huge! The images again were used around the world following immediate distribution by the team. Other client work has included a huge shoot for Sydney Airport for their 2012 Annual Report including many early and late starts to capture the magic of flying at the airfield, the moving of a Mercedes sports car out of an Emirates boeing 777 with agency PPR and working on Celebrity Apprentice 2012 for Channel Nine as part of one of the team challenges.
As always, busy months planned ahead. Check back for more news on what's been happening.
